Comments:

Taxonomic observations: O. rapum-genistae is a relatively polymorphous species of which numerous forms (subsp., var., etc.) have been described. But in our taxonomic treatment we have preferred to consider these taxa as conspecific and prefer to treat all of them as a single variable species (Carlón & al. in Documentos Jard. Bot. Atlántico (Gijón) 1: 29. 2002; Documentos Jard. Bot. Atlántico (Gijón) 3: 61 f. 4 ["Phylogenetic relationship"], 65. 2005; Schneeweiss & al. 2004 [GenBank, FASTA, Graphics, PopSet, Related Sequences]).

Chromosomatic number: n = 19 (Palomeque & Sañudo 1981 "Albacete, Spain"; l.c., "Lérida, Spain" sub subsp. benthamii); 2n = 38 (Schneeweiss & al. 2004).
