"Bracteolae nullae (B. glabra [B. rossica]) / Bracteolae duae (B. Handelii [X. himalaica])" (Beck 1930: 326-327); "Nr. 9285 wird von Beck, l. c., 329 als B. Handelii f. minor unterschieden, ist aber als kleinste Form der Hg. St. wohl ohne systematischen Wert. Nach den Feststellungen H. Smiths [Smith 1933] in Act. Hort. Gothobg., VIII., 139—143 kann kein Zweifel sein, daß B. Handelii mit Xylanche himalaica zusammenfällt. Da Beck, l.c., 330 für diese 3 oder 2 Plazenten angibt, ist die Gattung Xylanche offenbar hinfällig [the genus Xylanche is apparently obsolete]." (Handel-Mazzetti 1936: 876, sub B. himalaica).
