(Reuter 1847: 8; Boissier 1879: 498). However, from our point of view, it is morphologically very different to Phelypaea pyramidalis Reut. in DC., Prodr. 11: 7 (1847). Taxonomic observation: according to Zhang & Tzvelev in Flora of China 18 (1998) it is conspecific with "Orobanche coelestis (Reuter) Beck ... (1890)".
